Two actors who played Doctor Who met IRL and their greeting couldn't have been more lovely.

Christopher Eccleston — who played the Ninth Doctor — and Matt Smith — who played the Eleventh Doctor — spotted each other at London Film and Comic Con and gave each other a massive hug.

Twitter user @Twelveslapels tweeted photos of the pair locked in a handshake.

There was some chatter as to whether or not this was the first time the pair had ever met. One Whovian said that the two Doctors had "likely not" met before.
