While we still don't have an exact date for The Leftovers' Season 3 return, Perrotta at least deigned to reveal the month: April 2017, meaning that the show is likely slipping into the slot vacated by Game of Thrones, which will return next summer instead of its usual spring debut.

Thrones' delay is designed to allow production to film in the winter months, since "Winter is here," and the Seven Kingdoms need to look a lot chillier in Season 7 than they have in the past.
At least it looks like we'll have The Leftovers to fill our Sundays until our return visit to Westeros.
