Twitter has gifted all the women -- and House of Pleasures (House of Tolerance)all the men -- of its service a special emoji in honor of International Women's Day.
Whenever a user tweets with the hashtag #SheInspiresMe, #WomensDay, #InternationalWomensDay, #IWD or #IWD2017, a custom emoji depicting the Venus symbol appears.

In 2016, there were 25 percent more tweets about "feminism" or "women's rights" than in the year prior, according to Twitter. These statistics were taken from tweets with those phrases in 10 languages.

For 2017, the conversation has only gotten louder. The discussion of these topics has nearly doubled from the same period the year prior.

Twitter is far from the only social network celebrating International Women's Day and Women's Month. Facebook is hosting a 24-hour livestream event, and YouTube creators are producing videos for the campaign "#HerVoiceIsMyVoice."

While Kong movies traditionally feature a damsel in distress, this version has been heralded, ETreported, for having actress Brie Larson's character actually take charge in the adventure.
