Nintendo revealed Animal Crossing: New Horizonsduring its E3 stream on Tuesday, sending shockwaves around the globe as we gazed upon its majesty, captive in the distilled joy that radiants from its very essence.

There's so much to unpack from this footage. First of all, it looks like villagers will be roughing it on a deserted island to start, complete with a tent and a workbench for crafting different items. That's right, we're looking at an Animal Crossing survival game.

People took their excitement online immediately, just shouting through their keyboards, unable to contain themselves.

The last major Animal Crossing release was 2012's Animal Crossing: New Leaf, so people were obviously excited to see the series in splendid HD.

Fans are so ready to completely sink themselves into their new island villages.

Not only does the New Horizons world look gorgeous, this game is also bringing new skin tones to the Animal Crossingworld, making it more inclusive for everyone.

And people are really appreciative of the new elements that New Horizonswill be bringing to the series, which hasn't really strayed from its usual path much over the years.
