The next wave of mashup food is here and it is...well, it's spaghetti donuts.

That's right, spaghetti donuts are going to hit Broooklyn's Smorgasburg food fair the first weekend in April.

Pop Pasta, who makes the spaghetti donuts, says they are a takeoff on spaghetti pie, which it calls a "Neapolitan tradition." The donuts are baked into rounds either flavored like carbonara, bolognese or red sauce and may be eaten room temperature or warmed.

So far reactions have been mixed to say the least:

There is no word on how much the treat will cost, either in money or in dignity.

However, people do go crazy for a good hate/love. Remember "Smash?"

This spaghetti donut thing might just be the next foodie craze.
