Cromulent or not,embiggen has been entered into the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

If you search for the definition of embiggen, Merriam-Webster yields this definition.

It's pretty galling that Jebediah doesn't get a mention, although Merriam-Webster does put the first usage in 1996, which is when "Lisa the Iconoclast" aired.

Still, credit where credit is due. Lots of people showed their appreciation for the legitimisation of embiggen.

It's up to you now Merriam-Webster, do the right thing. Bring in cromulent.
